There are four types of skills in this game: passive skills that are always active, active skills that are activated during battle, resistsances against various status effects and killer traits that help you deal more damage to certain monster families. Each skill has a maximum level that you can obtain in it. Most active skills have a cooldown: you must wait a number of turns before using the same skill again. Of course, you must first purchase the skills in the shop before you can use them.

Passive Skills

As mentioned, these skills are always on.

Swordmaster

This skill will increase damage done with sword and katana type weapons. Increased levels in this skill will increase the damage.

Gunslinger

This skill will increase damage done with gun type weapons. Increased levels in this skill will increase the damage.

Wizardry

This skill will increase damage done with staff and wand type weapons. Increased levels in this skill will increase the damage.

Martial Arts

This skill will increase damage done with hand to hand type weapons (such as Fists and the weapon Cerberus). Increased levels in this skill will increase the damage.

Polemaster

This skill will increase damage done with spear type weapons. Increased levels in this skill will increase the damage.

Archery

This skill will increase damage done with a bow. Increased levels increases the damage.

Hatchetman

This skill increases damage done with an axe. Increased levels increases the damage.

Harvester

This skill increases damage done with a scythe. Increased levels increases the damage.

Sleight of Hand

This skill increases damage done with a dagger. Increased levels increases the damage.

Whipster

This skill increases damage done with a whip. Increased levels increases the damage.

With 100 levels in any of the weapon mastery skills above, you also gain a chance to parry attacks using that type of weapon.

Clear Mind

This skill will increase magical damage. Increased levels of this skill will increase the damage.

Desperate Blows

This skill will enhance melee damage based on how much health you have left. At 10-25% health your attack will be 1.5× stronger, at 2-10% your attack will be 2× and at 2% or less health your attack will be 2.5×.

Orb Hunter

This skill will allow you to obtain extra orbs at the end of battle. The amount of orbs you get will be 5 × skill level.

Field Medic

This skill will increase the amount of health items will heal by 5 × skill level.

Impetus

This skill will increase your chances of performing a critical hit by 1% each level in this skill.

Blood Pact

This skill will allow you to activate summoning items and summon pets/summons to the field to fight for you.

Zen

This skill will increase the amount of TP you regain each turn by 5 × skill level.

Haggling

This skill will increase the amount of orbs you can sell items back for by 20 × skill level. However, the price for selling an item can never exceed the price of buying the same item back.

Weapon Bash

This skill will add a chance to stun opponents with a standard attack. Note that if the target is immune to stun it will never take effect. The chance is (skill level × 10)%.

Vogue

This skill will increase the amount of style experience you get at the end of battle.

Alchemy

This skill will allow you to use gems to create items. Each level of this skill will raise the success rate of creating an item by 1%. Use !view-info alchemy list to get a list of items you can craft and !view-info alchemy item to view the ingredients necessary.

Treasure Hunter

This skill will increase the odds of better colored chests appearing at the end of battle and increase the odds that a player will receive an item from a normal monster battle (if the monster has an item to drop). This skill is cumulative with everyone who has it at the end of battle. In order for this skill to take effect, you must be alive at the end of battle when a chest is created.

Back Guard

This skill will decrease the odds of a surprise attack against the players. This skill is cumulative with everyone who has it at the beginning of battle.

Divine Blessing

This skill will decrease the odds that a curse night will happen by 1% per level. This skill is cumulative with everyone who has it at the beginning of battle.

Dual Wield

This skill will allow the user to hold two one-handed weapons and use techniques from both without having to switch weapons. For standard attacks, the number of hits for the attack will be both weapons' number of hits combined. Use !equip left or !equip right to equip to the specified hand. Note, a one-handed weapon must be in the right hand before you can equip something else in the left hand. This skill is required to use shields.

Spoil Seeker

This skill, gained using enhancement points, increases the odds that defeated monsters that can drop spoils will do so. Each level increases the odds by 0.02, up to 0.2 max.

Demolitions

This skill, gained using enhancement points, increases damage done with bomb items. The amount of extra damage is (4 × level)%, with 40% being the max amount.

Dragon Hunter

This skill, gained using enhancement points, increases the chances of finding a dragon's lair by 0.01 × level, up to 0.05 max.

Overwhelm

This skill, gained using enhancement points, increases overall damage against monsters by (2 × level)%.

Active Skills

These are the skills that have commands that you need to do during battle to activate the skill.

Speed - !speed

This skill consumes the greater of (0.25 × level)% or 10% of the user's maximum HP to increase their speed when performed. Increased levels increases the amount of speed when used.

Elemental Seal - !ElementalSeal

This skill enhances your next magical spell. The default reuse time is 10 turns. Increased levels decreases the amount of turns inbetween uses.

Mighty Strike - !MightyStrike

This skill enhances your next standard attack. The default reuse time is 10 turns. Increased levels decreases the amount of turns inbetween uses.

Mana Wall - !ManaWall

This skill reduces the next magic attack used against you to 0. The default reuse time is 10 turns. Increased levels decreases the amount of turns inbetween uses.

Royal Guard - !RoyalGuard

This skill blocks the next standard attack used against you. The default reuse time is 10 turns. Increased levels decreases the amount of time inbetween uses.

Neither Royal Guard nor Mana Wall will block non-magic techniques. So if you use both and still take damage, that's what your opponent used.

Perfect Defense - !PerfectDefense

This skill can block nearly any attack used against you. The default reuse time is 20 turns. Increased levels decreases the amount of time inbetween uses.

Fullbring - !fullbring item

This skill allows you to draw out the souls within items and turn single-target items into AOEs. Fullbring will consume the item you use. (For example, if you use this skill on a potion, it will heal all allies on the battlefield). All items have a fullbring level and you will need to match the skill level of the item level in order to use the skill with that item.

Sugitekai - !sugitekai

This skill allows you to get two turns on your next turn after using this skill. The default reuse time is 15 turns. Increased levels decreases the amount of turns inbetween uses.

Meditate - !meditate

This skill will give you (level × 5) TP back to you instantly. The reuse time is 4 turns.

Conserve TP - !conserveTP

This skill will reduce the cost of your next technique to 0 TP. The default reuse time is 15 turns. Increased levels decreases the amount of turns inbetween uses.

Blood Boost - !BloodBoost

This skill will consume (level × 3)% of your maximum HP to give you a (level × 2)% boost to your strength. This skill can only be used once per battle.

Blood Spirit - !BloodSpirit

This skill will consume (level × 3)% of your maximum HP to give you a (level × 2)% boost to your intelligence. This skill can only be used once per battle.

Drain Samba - !DrainSamba

This skill will consume 10 TP to activate the "drain" status on the user, allowing him/her to gain HP back with every standard attack. The amount of turns it will last is the level of your skill. Note that the drain effect will not work on the undead (vampires, skeletons, zombies). There is a 15 turn reuse period inbetween command uses.

Regen - !Regen

This skill will give you the HP regeneration effect. Every turn you will regenerate (level × 0.5)% of your maximum HP back. The effect will wear off when you reach your maximum HP or if you die. There is a 15 turn reuse period inbetween command uses.

Kikouheni - !kikouheni weather

This skill allows the user to change the weather. The default reuse time is 10 turns. Increased levels of this skill will reduce the amount of time inbetween uses. Valid weather types are: calm, bright, gloomy, rainy, stormy, snowy, windy, hot, and dry. Using this skill also prevents the weather from changing on its own.

Shadow Copy - !shadow copy

This skill will create a shadow clone of yourself to fight in battle with you as an NPC. It can only be used once per battle, even if the clone dies. This skill can be greatly enhanced by the Doppelganger style.

Utsusemi - !utsusemi

This skill will create 2 shadows that will each absorb any single attack. The default reuse time is 19 turns. Increased levels decreases the amount of time inbetween uses.

Steal - !steal target

This skill will let you try to steal an item or red orbs from a target. Each level increases the percentage of success by 1%. You can only use this skill once every 5 turns.

Analysis - !analyze target

This skill will allow you to analyze a target. Each level of the skill gives you more detail about the target.

Cover - !cover target

This skill allows you to jump in front of an attack and cover an ally of your choosing. You can only use this skill once every 3 turns.

Aggressor - !aggressor

When used, this skill will take (skill level × 10%) of your defense and add it to your strength, but will leave your defense at 5. The effect wears off at the end of the battle.

Defender - !defender

When used, this skill will take (skill level × 10%) of your strength and add it to your defense, but will leave your strength at 5. The effect wears off at the end of the battle.

Holy Aura - !holy aura

When used, this skill will extend the amount of time you have to fight before Darkness sets onto the battlefield by (skill level) turn(s). This skill can only be used once every 10 turns.

Provoke - !provoke target

This skill allows you to provoke an enemy into attacking you instead of another target. This skill can only be used once every 2 turns.

Disarm - !disarm target

This skill will let you try to unequip a target's weapon. Each level increases the percentage of success by 1%. This skill can only be used once every 10 turns.

Weapon Lock - !weaponlock target

This skill will consume the item "Sokubaku" and prevent a target from changing weapons for a number of turns. This skill can only be used once every 10 turns.

Konzen-ittai - !konzen-ittai

This skill, when active, will allow you to perform a Renkei by yourself with a non-magic technique that you use, or increase the power of a normally-used Renkei. This skill can only be used once every 10 turns.

Seal Break - !sealbreak

This skill will allow you to attempt to break a Melee-Only Ancient Seal upon a battlefield. Each level of the skill adds a 10% chance in being successful. This skill will consume Hankai upon use. This skill can only be used once every 5 turns.

Magic Mirror - !magicmirror

This skill will consume a MirrorShard to create a magical reflective barrier around you. The barrier will bounce a magic attack back to its caster. Increased levels decreases the amount of time inbetween uses. The default reuse time on this skill is once every 15 turns.

Gamble - !gamble

This skill will consume 1000 red orbs in exchange for a random event to happen. Random events include, but are not limited to: gaining a random item, refilling the Ignition Gauge, restoring HP, taking damage, and inflicting a status effect upon yourself. Increased levels decreases the amount of time inbetween uses, with the default amount being once every 15 turns.

Third Eye - !thirdeye

This skill will increase the odds of dodging attacks for 1-2 turns to 100%. Increased levels decreases the amount of time inbetween uses, with the default being once every 20 turns.

Scavenge - !scavenge

This skill allows you to dig into the ground of a battlefield in an attempt to find a burried item. The items that can be found depend on the current battlefield. You may only use this skill one time per battle regardless if it's successful or not. Increased levels of this skill increase the odds of finding an item.

Just Release - !justrelease target

As you block attacks with Royal Guard, the attacks' power gives you energy for this skill, which can be checked using !stats. This skill will unleash all of the stored energy at an enemy. The damage done is (skill level)% of the total attack power you've blocked. The damage done with this skill cannot be completely resisted or dodged.

Formless Strike - !formless strike

This skill will allow your standard attacks to hurt Ethereal targets without the need of a special weapon or augment. The amount of turns this skill stays active is dependent on how many levels you have in it.

Retaliation - !retaliation

This skill will guarantee the next melee attack towards you will be countered. While this skill is active you will go last in battle. Increased levels of this skill will decrease the time inbetween uses, with the default being once every 20 turns.

Lockpicking - !use Lockpick

This skill will consume a lockpick item and attempt to unlock a chest without using the correct colored key. The chance of success is (skill level × 2)%

Warp - !warp battiefield

This skill sacrifices 2000 red orbs to take the next battle to a battlefiend of your choice. Only battlefields that can be selected for normal battles can be warped to.

Stoneskin - !Stoneskin

This skill, gained using enhancement points, grants natural armor to the user to absorb damage. The amount of natural armour is the smaller of (level × 10)% × the user's intelligence, or 300 × level. Natural armour wears off at the end of the battle.

Tabula Rasa - !TabulaRasa target

This skill, gained using enhancement points, can inflict amnesia on an enemy. The chance of success is (40 + level)% on targets that are not immune to the effect.

Resistance Skills

Like Passive skills, these skills are always on. All of them give a chance to resist the corresponding status effect. The maximum is 100, meaning you're completely immune to that status effect.

There is one exception. Resist-Curse will not protect you when a terrible curse falls upon the battlefield (a random event).

Killer Trait Skills

These special skills are always on and will increase damage done against a specific monster type by 1% per level (with a maximum of 10%). They only work on monsters that are of that monster type.
